Decorators of hampshire

doing things right since 2013
We’ll be honest—we aren’t the cheapest, but that doesn’t mean we overcharge.
We don’t set out to compete with other local trades.
Instead, we focus on being the best we can be—continually elevating our knowledge and expertise, allowing us to offer unparalleled service.
Nowadays, offering genuine value for money is more important than ever. With the market becoming increasingly flooded with seemingly unbeatable prices, the adage rings true:
The devil is in the details.

what makes us different?
-
It’s common practice for large companies to outsource their bookings—in part or whole—to subcontractors. Usually, the cheapest price is chosen to allow for the biggest markup possible.
We see this as wrong and deceitful to customers, as they rarely get what they initially requested.
-
A large workforce doesn’t improve results; it does quite the opposite.
Our small team enables us to continually focus on delivering a quality, personal decorating experience that isn’t overwhelming for our customers.
-
The Devil is in the details - there’s that saying again.
There is no way of skirting around a straightforward fact: poor preparation will ALWAYS lead to poor results. Unfortunately for customers, the results may not rear their ugly heads till a few weeks or months after completion, but they do and will.
We dedicate a considerable proportion of our overall project time to preparation work (usually about 70%) to ensure the work we undertake looks the best it can do and lasts.
-
It only takes a short search online or a visit to a DIY store to see a dizzying array of products on the market.
We do all the hard work for you. We tirelessly research and vigorously test each product that comes to market worldwide.
With zero brand loyalty, we extensively test each product and cherry-pick our favourites, ensuring our customers constantly receive the best.
-
Indeed, a quality brush doesn’t make the artist, but it can certainly help.
Like the products we source, we extensively test all tools that come to market and cherry-pick the ones that yield the best results time after time.
From using the correct brush filaments with any given paint to the roller nap length for any given wall, there is a valid reason behind everything we use.
-
Since the advent of COVID-19, many of our customers have worked from home.
For these reasons, we aim to keep noise levels minimal (motorised tool use aside). We don’t have radios blaring. Instead, the most you may hear is the sound of an audiobook or the crickets outside.
-
Whilst we encourage any valuables or furniture to be relocated before a project commences, this is simply not always feasible.
Under these circumstances, we ensure that all flooring, fixtures, and items are appropriately shielded from any work we undertake, giving you complete peace of mind.
-
There is no sugar-coating it; decorating—when done right—can be a bit of a messy process. You always have to go back a few steps before you can proceed.
This is why we have invested in state-of-the-art dustless sanding systems, which eradicate a large proportion of what is created. We would be lying, however, if we said there was none. Therefore, at the end of each day, we neatly collect our tools and thoroughly clean all surfaces within the working area.
-
We’re not big on risk-taking, but should any accidents occur, be assured that we are fully insured to the some of £1 Million.
We increase this sum to match when we work on much grander locations, always staying one step ahead.
-
Having tradespeople at your property can understandably be a daunting prospect. Having young children, pets, elderly relatives, and valuables, as well as needing to go to work or the shops, is a lot to consider.
Those of us you meet will only ever work at your property unless explicitly mentioned to you otherwise (which has never happened).
-
Finding the right professional for your project is all well and good, but if they never show up when they say they will, things will quickly turn sour.
We like to keep a very active and open dialogue with our customers so they constantly know our whereabouts should any unforeseen circumstances arise.
-
Some people may indeed think it’s unnecessary, but we like to think of it as being honest.
Without pestering, we actively let our customers know about the decorating process, detailing the stages we are at, what to expect going forward, and thoughts and opinions on ad-hoc ideas should they arise.
-
With the exception of large projects split into multiple stages, we only ever undertake a single project at any given time, seeing it through to completion before commencing the next.
This allows us to give each customer and project our undivided attention without spreading ourselves too thin.
-
There is no denying that some individuals have an innate ability to be good at everything. Thankfully, those people are often incredibly annoying, so the universe evens itself a little.
We aren’t those people. While there are many strings to our collective bow, we know our limits and stick to them.
We never claim to be able to do the job of another skilled professional just for the sake of monetary rewards.
